After having organized the Sabay Festival on the occasion of the Buddhist New Year, the Sabay organization and its “e-market place” Evaan Market are once again putting France, or at least its capital, on Asian time with a new edition of its Asian Street Food Festival this June 11 at the Vincennes pagoda.
And, as on the occasion of the New Year, lovers of Asia and Asian cuisine will be able to discover the products of Confirel, in particular the Kirum Herbal Tea with Kampot pepper inflorescences and the Thnot mango rolls.
“For one day, the doors of the Grande Pagode de Vincennes open to welcome Asian street food stalls and numerous activities: a change of scenery and a culinary journey guaranteed! A real meeting and tasting place, more than 25 catering stands are set up inside the Pagoda to take your taste buds on a journey to Asia through the trendiest and most gourmet food concepts. Asian cuisines are much richer than we think and reflect the multiculturalism of French youth. So we gave ourselves a mission: to make you reconnect with your roots or connect with a new culture thanks to street food”, write the organizers to present this event which is aimed particularly at young French people of Asian origin. .
Confirel’s participation in this second event organized by Sabay illustrates the company’s support for the approach of Dara Thong, creator of Sabay, who wishes to make the link between the Asian diaspora and their cultures as well as to share the riches of Southeast Asia to all those interested in this part of the world.
Of Cambodian origin, Dara Thong also wants to participate in the development of Cambodia by promoting its products throughout the world. Proof of this commitment, he took advantage of his recent stay in Cambodia to visit the Confirel Discovery Park in Kep. Welcomed by Dr. Hay, this visit provided an opportunity to discuss the key concepts of Confirel: sustainable development and the circular economy.
